The story of the first Jewish heretic
Fascinating. I hope you will do an extension of this post with the story of the Jewish Kabbalists.
Thank you Camila. There is so much more to tell. I think I'd like to focus on Jewish mysticism for a while.
Understood. Another time, perhaps. Thanks very much for all your work.
No no. No worries. Kaballah is a huge part of Jewish mysticism 😇
I can read about the medieval period on my own :)
You are a marvelous guide through the mystery of literature such as this.
The whole Metatron story is fascinating, Then. Tobias Churton goes into in his brand new The Books of Enoch Revealed.
incredibly interesting -I believe I might have read some explanations, by different people's interpretations, but never this detailed one.
I also think Umberto Eco might have been inspired by it in his "Foucault's Pendulum" only as far as I remember he has three heroes there.
Thank you, Chen -always a pleasure to read
Thanks Chen. I could never read that book so I can't say for sure but I remember he takes a lot from the kaballah
Lovely post - and thoughtfully illustrated!! ;-)
And who better than you to appreciate :)
